Welcome to Olive & Pixels. By booking photography services, submitting an inquiry, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

These terms are intended to create a clear and professional experience for both the Client and Photographer.

Booking & Retainers

A signed agreement and 30% to 50% non-refundable retainer are required to officially reserve any session or event date.

Dates are not secured until both the signed contract and retainer payment have been received.

The non-refundable retainer is applied toward the total balance and compensates the Photographer for reserving the requested date and declining other potential bookings.

The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days prior to the scheduled session or event date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of services.

Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Other approved electronic payment methods

Returned payments or failed transactions may result in additional fees.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Retainers are non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation, postponement, change of date, or change of mind.

Requests to reschedule are subject to Photographer availability. If the Photographer is available for the requested new date, payments made may be transferred at the Photographer’s discretion.

If the Photographer becomes unable to perform services due to illness, emergency, accident, severe weather, natural disaster, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, liability shall be limited to a full refund of payments received.

Coverage & Timeline Delays

The Client is responsible for ensuring that all event details, addresses, schedules, and requested photo combinations are communicated in advance.

The Photographer is not responsible for missed moments caused by:

  • late arrivals

  • schedule delays

  • venue restrictions

  • guest interference

  • lack of cooperation from attendees

  • weather conditions

  • poor lighting conditions

  • restrictions imposed by officiants or venues

Coverage time begins and ends according to the scheduled hours agreed upon in the contract.

Additional coverage beyond the agreed timeframe may be billed at an hourly rate.

Photography Style & Artistic Direction

Client acknowledges that they are familiar with the Photographer’s portfolio and artistic style.

The Photographer retains full creative control over:

  • shooting style

  • composition

  • posing direction

  • image selection

  • editing style

  • color grading

  • final gallery curation

Images are edited at the Photographer’s professional discretion and consistent with the artistic style represented throughout the Olive & Pixels portfolio.

RAW or unedited files will not be delivered under any circumstances.

The Photographer reserves the right to decline excessive editing requests or modifications inconsistent with the Photographer’s artistic style.

Image Delivery

Final galleries are delivered through an online gallery platform unless otherwise specified.

Estimated turnaround times:

  • Portrait sessions: approximately 2–4 weeks

  • Weddings & events: approximately 6–12 weeks

Turnaround times may vary depending on season, workload, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances.

Sneak peeks may be provided at the Photographer’s discretion or depending on “Collections” package chosen.

Online gallery lifespans as follows:

  • Mini Sessions & Portraits: 60 days

  • Weddings & Large Events: 6 months

Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up all delivered images. Online galleries may not remain active indefinitely.

Copyright & Usage

The Photographer retains full copyright ownership of all images in accordance with United States copyright law.

Clients receive a non-exclusive personal-use license for delivered images. This license allows Clients to:

  • download images

  • print images

  • share images on social media

  • share images with family and friends

Clients may not:

  • sell images

  • alter images excessively

  • apply heavy filters

  • edit images commercially

  • submit images for publication

  • use images for business or commercial purposes

without prior written permission from the Photographer.

When sharing images online, credit to Olive & Pixels is always appreciated.

Social Media & Image Alterations

To maintain artistic integrity and consistent brand representation, Clients agree not to alter delivered images using filters, presets, AI modifications, or excessive editing.

Minor cropping for social media formatting is acceptable.

Model Release

Unless otherwise requested in writing prior to the session or event date, the Client grants the Photographer permission to use images for:

  • portfolio display

  • website content

  • social media

  • marketing materials

  • studio samples

  • professional competitions

  • advertising and promotional purposes

Clients requesting complete privacy must communicate this in writing before services are rendered.

Travel & Location Fees

Travel within a reasonable local distance may be included in selected collections.

Additional travel fees, lodging expenses, parking fees, permits, or location costs may apply for destinations outside the standard service area of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange County, San Diego and Ventura County (only wedding collections are included)

Any applicable travel costs will be discussed and approved in advance.

Limitation of Liability

While every reasonable effort will be made to provide high-quality photography services and maintain secure backups, the Photographer shall not be held liable for circumstances beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:

  • equipment failure

  • memory card corruption

  • acts of God

  • natural disasters

  • venue restrictions

  • accidents

  • illness

  • theft

  • internet failures

  • acts of third parties

In the unlikely event of total photographic failure or inability to deliver services, liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the Client.

Website Use

All photographs, logos, branding elements, written content, and website materials are the intellectual property of Olive & Pixels and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California.

Any disputes arising from photography services or website use shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in California.
